ABOUT THE ACCELERATOR_

Sector X is an international program that focuses on helping Eastern European startups build global companies. Unlike other accelerators, we are laser-focused, roadmap-driven and provide each startup exactly what they need to hit their goals, instead of just lecturing. Our current program consists of the two stages - the Sandbox and the Accelerator. The Sandbox stage operates in Kyiv and lasts 1-1,5 months. The Sandbox focuses on verifying the problem and the solution on the US market. The Accelerator stage lasts 2 months and takes place in either New York City or Vilnius. It depends both on startups' traction during the Sandbox stage and on their target market. The goal of the startups at the Accelerator stage disregarding the location is to launch pilots with clients, make sustainable sales and get ready for the next financing round.

MODULE IN THE USA_

If startups meet the Sandbox stage goals and decide to grow in the US further, we enroll them in the Accelerator stage, provide funding and move them to our New York City location for 2 months. Sector X provides accomodation and work space.

MODULE IN EUROPE_

If startups feel like growing in the European markets rather than in the US, they get an opportunity to continue acceleration in our partner accelerator 70 Ventures (www.70ventures.com) in Vilnius, Lithuania, under special terms.

PROGRESS TRACKING_

Each startup moves along a special roadmap, which goal is to help steadily progress in the right direction and hit the right goals. What’s more, you get a personal coach who helps you focus, set the right goals and hit them as fast as possible.

INVESTMENTS_

After successfully finishing the Sandbox stage and getting accepted into the Accelerator stage, the startups are qualified for $20-25K investments in exchange for 7-8% equity.

Andrii Onoshchenko, PandaDoc

Andrii is a first business hire in the San Francisco based hyper-growth SaaS company since 2016. He observed and impacted the company’s growth from 50 to 160 employees. His areas of expertise involves, but are not limited to financial planning and analysis, strategic planning, business operations, go to market strategy, marketing channels, customer segmentation, unit economics, pricing, etc.

What's your story and who are you?

Accelerator has been founded by Vasiliy Kchmelnytsky, top Ukrainian entrepreneur and founder of UFuture Group, and Andrei Komarovski, serial entrepreneur, founder of multiple startups and ex-Founder Institute Director.
Our team also includes successful startup founders, mentors and speakers living in the US, Ukraine, Russia, Finland etc. Our on-site and remote team members and partners either participated or managed programs such as Startup Sauna, Founder Institute, 500 startups, YCombinator and others, which lets us bring you the best of the best. Sector X is based out of Unit.city, which is the largest and fast-growing innovation park in the center of beautiful Kyiv. Our mission is to be the most efficient way for Eastern European startups to build and scale great businesses in the US, Western Europe and later, China.

How does the acceleration in NYC look like?

We provide the accommodation and workspace for startups. Startups’ daily duties are meeting with clients, attending meetups and conferences, talking to mentors and tracker and working on hitting their goals. We also provide the organizational support.

What about tickets and a US visa?

Startups must have valid US visas prior to entering the Sandbox stage. Ticket and visa costs are startups’ own responsibility.

Tell me more about the module in Vilnius?

The European acceleration module is carried out by our partner accelerator 70 Ventures www.70ventures.com, located in Vilnius, Lithuania. This is a new B2B accelerator & fund that offers founders milestone-driven financing up to 400k EUR with revenue-building acceleration program. 70 Ventures will accept Sector X Sandbox graduates that will show: Proven ability to book calls & meetings with customers in Western markets Confirmation about the existing customer pain and willingness to purchase a solution Competence to understand unit economics of the proposed business model Scalability potential of the proposed business model through outbound sales strategy Founding teams’ unfair advantage in terms of the competition. Candidates proposed with further funding and acceleration by 70 Ventures will be asked to establish an office in Vilnius, Lithuania.

My startup already has sales. Should I even want to apply?

If you want to grow in the US or European markets and build a global company, the answer is yes. If you’d rather prefer building a local company, then you shouldn’t apply..

Do you guys work with software or hardware startups?

It doesn’t matter. We accept applications from both of these worlds.

What do I need to get an investment?

To successfully graduate from the Sandbox stage.

What do I have to do to finish the Sandbox stage?

Securing pilots with US clients and proving the existence of the solution and the clients in the USA.

What is tracking?

It’s when we give you a cool methodologist, who knows ins and outs of launching a startup and turning it into business. This is your personal coach who guides you and your startup along the acceleration process and helps hit the goals.
